I'm not having the best of luck! After a huge windscreen smash in my Ford GT, we have some good news thanks to a new bit of glass fitted, however that turns out not to be the only problem with it. Let's check out what's up and work out what the next plan is going to be.

I took the Ford GT along with my AMG GT Black Series to SCD's Secret Meet at Donington Park about 2 weeks ago and had some amazing fun out on track with both of them. However, on the way home at the wheel of the Ford GT I heard the most almighty smash and out of nowhere had a golf ball sized hole in the glass right in front of me. There were no cars in front, no suction cups on the glass, and I can only presume it flicked up from traffic heading in the opposite direction and just hit at the most awkward possible angle to cause such obliteration of my windscreen.

Anyway, thankfully it's an easier fix than expected and only a couple of weeks later a new bit of glass is in thanks to the team at Multimatic in the UK. However, upon arrival to collect it, we have found another odd issue to do with the exhaust system. By way of a quick recap, my first stock European standard exhaust built up quite a rattle before I replaced it with my US sports exhaust, which also had to be replaced recently after failing, and now it seems that my European sports exhaust is going the same way while only being a couple of months old.

Unfortunately that does mean the car stays for now at Multimatic for investigation to work out what this is about and what we can do about it. When it comes to bespoke cars, hand built in limited numbers, they need to be looked after and if you actually drive them then you do need to be patient; same story with my Senna, SF90, 675LT, SLS BS etc.

Anyway, it doesn't detract from the experience, it's a fabulous car that I truly enjoy driving every time, let's just hope it can get back up and running as soon as possible.
