Simulating an earthquake with a 3D Printer
What makes some buildings survive an earthquake and others not? A 3d printer can be use to simulate real earthquakes. Can we save the lego man?!
*NOTE: this scale building model makes it seem like braced frames are better, HOWEVER, both both braced frames and moment frames can be designed to equally withstand an earthquake.* (video is for entertainment purposes only)

Want to try this on your own?
I wrote a small program for simulating earthquakes with a 3d printer. Just a heads up, the program is not the best to please approach it with low expectations.
It's available for Mac and Windows: https://drive.google.com/drive..../folders/13hE7LRt1qm
Let me know if you have any questions regarding the program!
