Apple with the iPhone 14 Pro lineup would remove a standard feature in the smartphone world, the SIM card tray. Apple is widely known for being the first company to get rid of any feature that they thought they no longer needed. Most of the time it's about money. Removing the SIM card tray from the iPhone 14 lineup will simplify the production process thus reducing the production cost. But there are upsides to this as well, such as better water resistance and it will free up the space inside the iPhone 14
