The interior of the third generation of Ceed is characterized by high material quality and ergonomics. The dashboard has an emphatically horizontal layout, and its elegant, slim shape also offers functional advantages: the driver has a clearer view to the front than on the previous model and - like the front passenger - enjoys more knee room. The increased use of soft-touch materials as well as surfaces in metal and chrome optics contribute to the cultivated, inviting atmosphere of the interior, which, depending on the equipment line, is also available with a glass roof.

The free-standing 26 cm navigation system (10.25 inches, depending on equipment; details see chapter "Infotainment and connectivity") is an eye-catcher. It protrudes from the top of the central console, which is inclined slightly towards the driver.
In the new Ceed family, Kia is using a fully digital instrument cluster for the first time in Europe (depending on equipment). The 31.2 centimeter (12.3 inch) high-resolution screen (1920x720 pixels) shows the speedometer and rev counter as round instruments while driving, with a multifunctional display for on-board computer data as well as information on navigation and assistance functions in between. If the driver switches to sport mode, the graphics of the round instruments are presented in a sharpened design.
In the cockpit of the Ceed Sportswagon Plug-in Hybrid, there are a number of elements and functions that are specially tailored to this drive variant. This includes the charge status indicator on top of the dashboard, which also shows from the outside how far the battery has been charged. The 20.2 cm (8 inch) touchscreen of the standard audio system and the navigation screen provide the driver with information on the drive train, the charge status of the battery or energy consumption. In addition, charging can be programmed via the touchscreens in order to benefit from lower night tariffs, for example. The driver can also display information such as the current driving mode or the remaining electric range in the instrument unit with special plug-in hybrid fittings.
The part-time electricity generator has an innovative, energy-saving ventilation and air-conditioning system that allows only the driver's seat to be air-conditioned. The ventilation in the other places is completely switched off - in contrast to conventional systems in which the air flow is only diverted by closing the ventilation nozzles.
The third generation of Ceed was designed from the start in such a way that hybrid drives can also be integrated in a space-saving manner. With the Ceed Sportswagon Plug-in Hybrid, the battery is located under the back seat and the luggage compartment floor. It therefore offers just as much space in the interior as the variants with a pure combustion engine. The comfortable seats with good lateral support also contribute to the high level of seating comfort. Heated, height-adjustable front seats and a front center armrest with storage compartment are part of the standard equipment, plus seat ventilation and electrically adjustable lumbar supports for both front seats as well as an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, depending on the version.
Thanks to the space-saving integration of the battery, the luggage space above the variable loading floor could be completely retained. The luggage compartment of the plug-in station wagon therefore has a capacity of 437 liters, which can be expanded extremely variably to up to 1,506 liters by folding down the three-part rear bench seat (40:20:40, depending on equipment).
