Wrestling the 28.5-litre Beast of Turin round Goodwood in the wet is the ultimate bravery
Duncan Pittaway apparently has no fear. Not only is he prepared to drive his mighty Fiat S76 "Beast of Turin" on the road and on the Goodwood Hill, he is ready to race this mighty 28.5-LITRE machine in the S.F. Edge Trophy.
That requires you to qualify, and qualifying for the 78th Members' Meeting's race was held in some pretty damp conditions. Conditions only set to make hurling a car designed to just drive in a straight line around corners even harder.
But of course Duncan was up to the challenge. He sent the Fiat with all his might, belching enough flames as he went from the Beast that he probably dried the track for those brave enough to follow close behind.
