New Mercedes GLB 2020 Review Interior Exterior
New Mercedes GLB 2020 Review Interior Exterior.
Stay flexible and make yourself comfortable. The second row of seats, which can be moved longitudinally on request, provides a space that fits your life exactly. With the optional third row of seats (usable up to a body size of 1.68 meters), the GLB offers space for up to seven people. Thanks to seat air conditioning and many other comfort features, you always stay in the comfort zone.
The GLB can accommodate up to seven people. The back seat offers space for three occupants, with the optional 3rd row of seats two additional individual seats can be added on request. These can be folded independently of each other and - like the second row of seats - have fastenings for child seats.
The GLB impresses with plenty of space and compact dimensions. Comfortable loading starts with the low loading sill. Variable folding options of the backrests make the GLB a flexible transporter in everyday life. Alternatively, it offers space for two more passengers and becomes a 7-seater.
A multi-talent - with the longitudinal adjustment of the rear seats you can transform your vehicle from a small space miracle for rear passengers to a compact premium van in just a few moments. If necessary, you can move the entire rear seat by 140 millimeters, thereby increasing either the cargo space or the legroom in the rear.
Load and unload stress-free with HANDS-FREE ACCESS: the tailgate opens and closes without contact. The sensor area under the rear bumper detects a kick movement of your foot. This is particularly helpful if you come from shopping heavily packed or have no hand free to close the tailgate.
The best prospects for sporty driving pleasure and a confident driving experience: the head-up display transforms your windscreen into a fascinating digital cockpit. So you always have important information at a glance. Your full attention is on the road and the traffic ahead.
For your exceptional comfort when steering - the heated multifunction steering wheel pampers you with warm hands, especially on colder days. Your hands warm up particularly quickly because the heating of the steering wheel is independent of that of the vehicle.
The seat air conditioning ventilates the front seats, cools them down and regulates the humidity. In cooler weather, the seat heating quickly brings the seat surfaces and backrests to a comfortable temperature. You no longer want to do without this pleasant seating climate.
With powerful and efficient four-cylinder engines, the latest driving assistance systems with cooperative driver support, the intuitively operated infotainment system MBUX and comprehensive ENERGIZING comfort control (ENERGIZING package/package Plus: € 1666/2975), the new model has all the strengths of the current compact class generation from Mercedes-Benz. Thanks to further development of the exhaust aftertreatment system, the two-litre diesel engine (OM 654q) already meets the Stage 2 RDE (Real Driving Emissions) requirements coming into force in 2020, and is certified to Euro 6d.
The two optional seats in the third row can be used by passengers up to 1.68 metres in height. More variability comes as standard in the seven-seater: the second seat row has an EASY-ENTRY function and fore-and-aft adjustment. The seat surface has a 40:60 split. The two adjustments above are also available for the five-seater at a price of € 428.40.
The new GLB has modern driving assistance systems with cooperative driver support. Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Brake Assist are on board as standard in Europe, for example.
The Driving Assistance package (1796.90 euros) is comprehensive and has coordinated functions. It includes the following systems: Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC; Active Speed Limit Assist, extended automatic moving-off on motorways; route-based speed adjustment with end-of-tailback function; Active Steering Assist; Active Lane Changing Assist; Active Emergency Stop Assist with SOS function; rescue lane function; Active Brake Assist; turn-off and junction function; end-of-tailback emergency braking function; Evasive Steering Assist; Active Lane Keeping Assist; Active Blind Spot Assist; exit warning function; pedestrian warning function in the area of zebra crossings; PRE-SAFE® PLUS.
The new GLB can be individualised with three equipment lines: Style (€ 892.50), Progressive (€ 1814.75) and AMG Line (€ 3510.50) and the Night package (€ 505.75).
In the first year it can also be ordered as an Edition 1 (extra cost: € 9044). This special model is characterised by strong contrasts: on the exterior, the 20-inch light-alloy wheels are embellished with opal orange rim flanges. The interior is dominated by the colour bahia brown, with eye-catching coral red topstitching. The interior trim is in open-pored brown line structure walnut wood imprinted with an exclusive coral red pattern.
