The new Astra leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to drive alternatives - it is the first Opel model that will soon offer customers a free choice of purely electric drive, plug-in hybrid or classic combustion engine. The output spectrum ranges from 81 kW/110 hp to 165 kW/225 hp system output (fuel consumption according to WLTP 1: 5.8-1.0 l/100 km, CO 2 emissions 131-22 g/km; each combined) โ€“ Superior driving performance is therefore guaranteed. With the latest generation of its compact class bestseller, Opel combines driving pleasure with top efficiency and a sense of responsibility.

And at the usual attractive prices: The sporty five-door is available from 22,465 euros (all prices RRP including VAT) - and therefore not a cent more expensive than the basic version of the predecessor. Numerous state-of-the-art assistance systems such as the front collision warning system with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane keeping assistant, traffic sign recognition or drowsiness detection are standard in every version. The 81 kW/110 hp 1.2 three-cylinder turbo petrol direct injection engine with 6-speed manual transmission (fuel consumption according to WLTP 1 : combined 5.5-5.4 l/100 km, 126-123 g/km CO 2 ).
At the same time, the new Opel Astra is a design statement from the brand: more dynamic than ever before, with clear, exciting lines without superfluous flourishes and with the new brand face โ€“ the Opel Vizor . From the outside it shows at first glance: the Astra is entering a new era.

Similar to its predecessor when it was launched in 2015, the newcomer brings innovations to the compact class that customers previously only knew from expensive vehicles. The Astra debuts with the latest version of the adaptive Intelli-Lux LED ยฎ pixel light . The lighting system comes directly from the Opel flagship Insignia and, with 168 LED elements, is a leader in the compact and mid-range classes.

A leap in time has taken place in the interior of the new generation of the Astra. With the fully digital Pure Panelall analog displays disappear. Instead, the new human-machine interface offers an intuitive user experience with a fresh, modern look. To do this, the passengers in the new Astra use an extra-wide touchscreen โ€“ like their familiar smartphone. The Opel developers attached great importance to the fact that the driver receives all the necessary information and all useful operating options, but is not burdened with superfluous data or functions. In addition, important settings such as air conditioning can still be selected directly with just a few switches or controls. Never before has an Opel been as intuitive and perfect to operate as the new Astra.

The new Astra is 4,374 millimeters long and 1,860 millimeters wide. This means that the next Astra generation is just four millimeters longer than before. The wheelbase grew by 13 millimeters to 2,675 millimeters. Visually, the Astra makes a sporty appearance - without making any concessions in everyday use: This is also shown by the flexible trunk of the five-seater, which is equipped with an adjustable loading floor. With the seats folded down, up to 1,339 liters (up to 1,268 liters for the Astra Hybrid) of luggage can be stowed here.
