It claims to be a pudding but it felt more like a 4 layer cake! This was good. Yes, food was often quite simple and many of the seasonings that we now take for granted were not accessible year round for those 200 years ago yet still the food was surprisingly delicious and healthy. Sometimes the simplest things in life are the best, no? This recipe is a keeper!
