How many Cocktails over the years have been called 'Corpse Reviver'? Too many to count... The cocktail book we are working with this week had at least 4 and listed several others that they didn't have space to include.
The cocktail recipe today is from the 1937 Cafe Royal Cocktail Book 'Coronation Edition' though there was only one edition printed and even then only 25 copies (disputed) were printed. So exceedingly rare to find an original; however there are re-prints in paperback form from the 1980s available on Amazon. This is one of many different (completely different) Corpse Reviver Cocktail recipes from this period. Many cocktail books had two or three different recipes with this same name; but the intent of the cocktail was always the same - they were strong enough to raise the dead.
