Designers and clients will often elect for a horizontal business card, because it is the industry standard and the ‘norm’ - but that is also exactly what other people choose to use a vertical design; because it goes against the grain. A vertical business card can come across as unique, superior, contemporary and it’s just that much more interesting. But as we discuss in the video and the tutorial, you will need to make sure that this approach suits both he client and the niche sector that they operate in.
