Patient is a nurse by occupation. She presents with lower back pain that radiates into her right posterior gluts, anterior thigh, and occasionally, the medial portion of her right foot. A recent MRI revealed a disc bulge at L4/L5. Patient has received several months of physical therapy which has not helped her lower back pain symptoms. She has been prescribed three different medications by her PCP to help lower her pain levels. However, she is seeking chiropractic care today in the hopes of reducing her pain levels alternatively. Patient was later advised to followup with her PCP if her symptoms did not improve within one week.
