The nightlife in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro is one of the busiest in the city on weekends.
Every weekend, young people look for Botafogo bars on Voluntários da Pátria and Nelson Mandela streets to socialize and usually fill the bars. The place even got a name: Baixo Botafogo.

During the pandemic period, the bars are not so crowded, but it still has a high number of people, as can be seen in the video.
The bars start to get busier after 10pm and many only leave when the bars need to close their doors.

If you are a tourist in Rio de Janeiro, you need to book a weekend night to have a drink in the bars of Botafogo.
