Knee Injuries are no joke! A Baker's cyst is a fluid filled sack that forms in the back of the knee usually from trauma to the knee. If the cause of the fluid formation is resolved, the fluid from the cysts should in theory dissipate. However, baker's cysts usually are being fed fluid from the injury to the back of the knee via a narrow tube (think of a small balloon) - making the fluid difficult to reabsorb as it remains trapped behind the knee.
