I wanted to share what I do for a living, my work takes me away from my home most of the time. This is the first Contract in over 8 years that I am closer to home. It's a 20 minute drive and I feel so fortunate to be able to come home every night to my furry babies.
I work as a Road Construction Senior Inspector and have been doing this kind of work for over 20 years. I work for a Consulting Engineering Firm.
My inspection tasks varies from grade work, concrete projects to paving operations.
I work outdoors and my office is my truck. Not the most comfortable but it beats facing 4 walls. It is enjoyable to work outdoors but sometimes the weather can get in the way.
I am happy to share what I do for for a living, it is a seasonal job and I work from April until November. I get my lay-off in the Winter and I truly enjoy this time to do what I please.
