Toddlers can, at times, be real toughies. They’ll throw a fit and storm out of the room. Or they’ll just sit there with a frowning, puffing face. Parents need to take them out of this so called angry zone and put them back into their happy, fun-filled space. So what do they do? They turn to playful kids songs. Something like ‘Chubby Cheeks Dimple Chin.’ Yes, at times, these are not just about education. Play the rhyme and do the dance routine that they perform with their little ones, without involving them. Tiny tots, still huffing and puffing in their corners will try and avoid. They’ll try and look away. But a cheeky, corner-of-the-eye look or two later, the fight is over. The baby song has worked its magic, like always, and babies are back to singing, dancing and playing. Nursery rhymes just have a way with kids; an influence on children that can help the parenting boat sail smoothly.
