This is my prototype. It is a hideous 150lb RC Drivable 12v WOOD LOG Splitter - but even in its early stages it is showing a lot of progress. I used to have a 150lb dump truck that could carry 300lbs of weight - Now I have the worlds first (I believe), RC Wood Log Splitter, made of
a 797F Hydraulic RC Dump Truck - converted into a home made 12v Log Splitter that can drive around. Is this practical? Nope.. but is it super fun and unique? Yes. I used an amazon special, dual 12v motor 5 Ton Electric Jack to keep costs low. I cut off the electrical and wired it to an electronic speed control. This allowed me to control it via a radio control module. I knew this would sacrifice speed of operation, but the cost was right, and kept it very compact. The splitter is run on a separate battery that is 14v. I did this to increase the speed as much as possible. I also installed a wireless 2500lb winch system so I can pull lumber from my land that looks ideal, that is stuck in hard to reach areas. #majorwood

I think the RCSparks mobile lumber company is starting to come together nicely. Now to make a band saw...
