Well, I guess you won't believe it. A new supersonic aircraft being developed in China could take one hour to fly from Beijing to New York. In something that sounds like an extract from a science fiction novel, but the company has assured that this plane will be capable of flying from Beijing to New York in only one hour. Chinese private commercial aerospace company Space Transportation is developing a supersonic aircraft that offers a whole new option for suborbital flight and space travel.

Hypersonic flight refers to flying in the atmosphere at a speed greater than 6 times the speed of sound, that is, flying at a speed of about 6,000 km/h. How fast is hypersonic flight? Take Beijing to New York as an example, the distance between the two cities is about 11,000 kilometers, and Space Transportation's supersonic plane may be able to fly from New York to Beijing within one hour. In other words, supersonic planes are much faster than conventional planes.

At the same time, supersonic planes are cheaper to transport than rockets that send satellites into space. At present, Space Transportation divides the research and development work into three steps, namely: technology test platform, space tourism vehicle and hypersonic vehicle. So, what is the difference between a supersonic plane and a rocket or an airplane? Well, in simple terms, supersonic aircraft can be understood as "rockets with wings".

But does it really only take 1 hour from Beijing to New York? In the future, would human beings be able to travel around the world within one day? How powerful are supersonic planes? When will it enter the life of ordinary people? Hi, everyone. Welcome to Hot Topics Time. Before we start today's video, please subscribe to our channel, which is the encouragement that we can create more videos. OK, let's continue the topic we are talking about.

Compared with China’s other megacities, Beijing is still a traditionalist at heart, so delve into the shops, galleries and restaurants in the city’s old, alleyway-threaded hutong neighborhoods.

So I got a call from my mate Sam asking if I wanted to hang out and film a bit in China, it sounded rad so I packed my bags and met up with Sam, Jakob and Jordan in Beijing for a dope few days. I've put together a very quick and brief montage from the trip, some of the things we got to do out there was hike and drone the Great Wall of China, explore the city by boat, sidecar and helicopter. The Beijing National Aquatics Center, better known as the Water Cube, is an aquatics center that was built alongside Beijing National Stadium in the Olympic Green for the swimming competitions of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Despite its nickname, the building is a cuboid (rectangular box), not a cube. Ground was broken on December 24th, 2003, and the Center was completed and handed over for use on January 28th, 2008. Swimmers at the Water Cube broke 25 world records during the 2008 Olympics.

The Water Cube was built with donations from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan compatriot as well as overseas Chinese. It was chosen through public appraisals as one of “China’s ten big new architecture views” by The U.S. magazine "Business Weekly". The iridescent bubble wrapped rectangular box shaped structure won the 2011 National Science & Technology Progress Award, First Class, for its deliberate morphing of molecular science, architecture and phenomenology that can create an airy and misty atmosphere for a personal experience of water leisure.

Finally finished the Beijing vlog! To be honest, I didn't end up with the best impression. Maybe because I was tired from our days in Datong and we only had a day to discover as much as possible of the city. The INSANE crowds at the Forbidden City, our trip to the snack street and our hotel fail didn't exactly help neither! But it is what it is, and I am still extremely happy to have had the chance to visit and experience the legendary Beijing :)

During the second day of our trip to Beijing we visited a beautiful park to see the Maple trees that turn all yellow during the fall season!
What a wonderful experience! Jay loved it! We of course have delicious food and at night we visited the vibrant Sanlitun district!

Sanlitun means ‘three-mile village’ in Chinese, in reference to its proximity to the heart of Beijing – but this glitzy corner of the Chaoyang District offers so much more than just a convenient location. Home to Beijing’s most glamorous nightclubs, fashion boutiques and international restaurants, Sanlitun is one of the most exciting neighborhoods in town.

Sanlitun is known for its fashionable dining and nightlife scene. Upscale Chinese restaurants serve crispy roast duck, global bistros and pastry cafes offer European fare, and tiny shops sell noodles and stewed pork buns to revelers spilling out of the area’s karaoke bars, cocktail lounges and raucous dance clubs. The massive Taikoo Li mall is home to international chain stores and contemporary outdoor sculptures.

It is a popular destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The area has been under almost constant regeneration since the late 20th century as part of a citywide project of economic regrowth. It currently houses many bars and clubs popular with both locals and foreigners as well as international brand-name stores such as Uniqlo, Apple, Nike and Adidas. It is notable for housing the largest Adidas store in the world.

It may only be seven or so kilometers northeast of the Forbidden City, but the bright lights of Sanlitun feel thousands of miles away from the traditional image of China. The neighborhood’s first bars opened in the 1990s and cemented Sanlitun’s reputation as Beijing’s party hotspot, from the mega-clubs around Gongti to the rowdy bars on Dirty Bar Street. These are the stops you should have on your itinerary after the sun goes down.
