The Jaguar C-X75 is a car straight out of a fantasy—so much so that it became the villain's ride in the James Bond film Spectre. But this isn’t just a piece of movie magic. With a jaw-dropping price tag of £3 million and a design that looks like it was sculpted by the wind itself, the C-X75 is a true unicorn of the automotive world.

Originally developed as a hybrid hypercar, the Jaguar C-X75 was intended to be the crown jewel of Jaguar’s engineering. It featured gas turbine technology in its earliest concept form, but the prototype driven in Spectre was powered by a more conventional (yet still ferocious) 5.0-litre V8 engine, specifically built for cinematic stunts. Despite production being cancelled in 2012, just five stunt cars were made, and they’re rare, brutal, and beautiful.

In a recent appearance at the Top Gear test track, the C-X75 went head-to-head with expectations. Could it perform as well on the tarmac as it did evading 007 in the movies? The answer is a resounding yes.

Screaming down the Dunsfold runway, the C-X75 showcased stunning agility, razor-sharp cornering, and blistering acceleration. It’s not just for show—it’s a beast under pressure. The chassis, handling, and explosive power delivery make it feel like a proper hypercar, even if it was built primarily for film work.

The test also offered a rare chance to get up close with the interior. Minimalist yet aggressive, the cockpit is stripped down for performance. Carbon fibre dominates, and everything feels tight and purposeful—exactly what you'd expect from a car designed to be driven at high speeds in chase scenes.

So, is the £3 million Jag worth the money? For collectors and fans of Bond alike, absolutely. It's a rolling piece of cinema history, a rare engineering marvel, and a reminder of what could have been if Jaguar had taken it to full production.

what I liked most about this one was that nothing felt forced. no loud edits, no try-hard vibe, just a simple moment shared with whoever cared enough to watch. that level of authenticity is rare today. ✨

sometimes a short clip can feel like a whole story. this one had that effect — like there’s something bigger happening behind the scenes that you only get a glimpse of. loved that.
