不同于过去的自由资本主义时代，在帝国主义时代，金融资本与工业资本越来越绑定在一起，对于殖民地也越来越饥渴。帝国主义国家对于抢夺殖民地的初衷不再仅仅是谋取商业利益，更是谋求国家安全，它们掠取殖民地财富的方式也不再仅仅是商品输出，更是资本输出。

我诚恳向大家解释一下，以免误会。我在视频里讲到：“英国政府解散东印度公司，不就不存在‘陛下何故造反’的问题了吗？”这主要是为了调侃英国殖民者缺德，并指出英国镇压印度起义完全是非法的。英国政府当然不会仅仅因为法律问题就解散东印度公司。公司解散的原因有很多，最主要的当然是因为公司高度腐败，人员机构严重冗余，早已不适应殖民统治的需要了。
