I used $3530 worth of materials to make a walnut and travertine table that sold for $8000. I don’t do a lot of custom woodworking commissions, but I thought this would be a useful case study to demonstrate how I price custom woodworking projects. I purchased a silver travertine slab and then outsourced the fabrication while I built the base out of black walnut.
