Located at Kim Keat Close in Balestier, this walk-up apartment is a stark contrast to many of Singapore's rising urban developments. It has such an old school flavour to it - red roofs, old rusty grilles, low rise buildings, traditional letterboxes and bicycles. It almost seems like an area that is stuck in time.

The apartment was formerly a 3 bedder unit with about 1,100 square feet of space, but the layout has been substantially changed, with the removal of both sides of the walls in the living room. Ryan wanted a balcony in the living, so he had the wall hacked to create a bigger living room with a balcony. The home was designed with a type of rawness to it, from the concrete flooring to the loose furniture placed around it. One cool feature is the added spiral staircase at the back of the balcony that gives added accessibility to the home.
