Evergreen John Daly speaks to the press after an opening round of 73 in The 150th Open Championship in St Andrews.
Plenty of colors on Daly's scorecard with only 7 pars in his round.
Bogeys on 2, 4, 6, 11, 16 & 17 were nearly cancelled out by birdies on 5, 8, 12, 15 & 18.
He seemed to enjoy the generational boom match with Bryson DeChambeau, who he said was a bit more conservative than his opening round in The Open last year. That round was ended with the "driver sucked" answer to one of my questions.

Daly is still in with a shout of making the weekend but will need to avoid the bogeys tomorrow.
