Korean Black Pig BBQ at Jeju Island & Tour of Folk Village

Today we explore more of South Korea's Jeju Island, which natives call Jejudo (제주도). The day starts off at Jeju Folk Village where we see traditional Korean homes and culture. Upon getting a taste of the old way of life, we head to dinner for Korean BBQ, specifically to try Heukdweji (흑돼지), the famous black pig of Jeju. These black pigs used to be called "poop pigs" back when they were used for cleaning human waste. In present day, Koreans largely use the Western toilet, so don't rely on the pigs anymore. The black pigs are now raised not for cleaning but for consumption. Whenever I ask the island locals what I should eat, they often mention heukdweji. Let's lay our culinary curiosity to rest and try this once and for all! Watch the vlog to see the action unfold :)
