Samsung Galaxy S22 vs Plus | Hands-on Review
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus have just launched at Unpacked 2022 and my hands-on review compares those specs, camera tech, OneUI 4.1 features and more. Stay tuned for my unboxing and final verdict once I've tested out the Samsung S22 and that Plus sized model too. I'll update the UK price and release date here once those are announced.
The regular Galaxy flagship phone is once again compact at just 6.1-inches, so should be one of the best mini options of 2022. However, that small size means a reduced 3700mAh battery capacity, while the 6.6-inch Plus rocks a 4500mAh cell.
Both of these Samsung smartphones are powered by the fresh Exynos 2200 chipset, with similar specs overall. The camera setup is identical on the Galaxy S22 Plus and its regular-sized sibling, complete with a new 50MP primary sensor. You have a dedicated telephoto lens, improved night shooting and the same 8K video smarts.
The Samsung S22 family once again come packing a Dynamic AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh. However, these displays can now drop to 10Hz (or 1Hz on the Ultra). You've got stereo speakers but no microSD support for expanding the storage.
Check out my comparison vs the S21 for a closer look at what's been upgraded! Unboxing imminent.
