I put a gum wrapper through a few extreme tests to see how true it is now you can use a gum wrapper to jump a high amperage fuse or complete a circuit like in the movies.
To my surprise the gum wrapper held an extreme amount of amperage, I was very impressed to say the least.
For the test I just use an ordinary gum wrapper which is just about 30 thousands of an inch thick, very very thin.

The idea from this came not only from the movies but the fact that I have used gum wrappers to jump fuses in the past on some pretty high amperage applications out of pure necessity.
