In this video we are making new custom bearing mounts for our Line Borer! These bearing mounts are designed for our our Sir Meccanica WS2 portable line boring machine. We already have standard mounts that came with the machine but need to make new ones that will be more rigid and are adjustable so we can use the Sir Meccanica facing head. To make these mounts we are using 20mm plate, hollow tube, 40mm round bar and some other bits & pieces. We show the step by step process including cutting & machining the hollow tube that will be the mount for the machine. We then machine and weld the plates onto the tube and mill out the slots in the plate to suit a 14mm bolt. We also machine up 12 stand offs including drilling and tapping so they can be bolted onto the plates.

In this video we are using:
- Hafco TM-1740G Lathe
- Hafco BM-63VE Milling machine
- WIA 500i Weldmatic welder
