On a clear Saturday evening, I started walking from Hongdae station and walked to Hongdae Street, Yeonnam Park and Yeonnam-dong Alley. It was such a lovely and energetic street and people here. Enjoy walking along busking performers, YouTubers, dating couples and people loving the nice spring weather of Seoul!

[Hongdae Street]
Large commercial areas located in Hongik University, Hongik University Station, and Sangsu Station. Hongdae's Hongdae is an abbreviation for Hongik University, and after the opening of the Hongdae Station, Seogyo -dong, Sangsu -dong, or domestic indie scene is often called Hongdae. Of course, in reality, it is often called Hongdae, just as the abbreviation of the university names such as Konkuk University and Idae is used as a name for downtown.
Seoul's famous universities are located near Sinchon Station, Lee Dae -gu, and Hyehwa Station nearby. Beyond the university downtown, it is becoming one of Seoul's representative attractions. Now, the Hongdae Sangwon is so big that it is a little difficult to name the commercial area as a university name.
Due to the nature of Hongdae, many people busking on the streets. Korea's hipster culture has developed unknowingly in the region, and since the controversy over commercialization and gentrification, such features have been somewhat diluted. Some hipsters opposed to these commercialization were pushed out of the central commercial area, such as Sangsu -dong or Donggyo, or to make Munrae -dong, Hannam -dong, and Seongsu -dong a new base.

[Yeontral Park]
It is revitalizing Mapo -gu and Yongsan -gu, which lacked greenery. In addition, as a new commercial area is formed along the park, it is contributing to the community. The longest Yeonnam -dong section is like Central Park, where many people come and go, nicknamed Yeonnam -dong. Foreigners' visit to foreigners has risen sharply and serves as a new tourist destination.
