Inside A Captivating Blend Of Vintage And Modern In A 4-Room HDB Home
This week, we visit a 969 square feet 4-room resale HDB home in Buangkok. Homeowners Kristel and Andrew didn’t have a great impression upon first visit, as the space felt quite closed and dark. It was only after viewing the floor plan that they realised the space could be opened up by knocking down some walls.
Their theme was one of a modern vintage look, and they sourced multiple pieces throughout the home from vintage collectors on Instagram. They even wanted their handles and knobs to be different, and obtained them from a custom knob and handle shop called Lavavella in Joo Chiat - the coolest one of all being a fork and spoon!
The house is much more open and bright due to the living, dining and kitchen being seamlessly in one spot. The kitchen is a rather unique u-shape, which they wanted specifically to so as to facilitate for better conversation.
Special thanks to Kristel and Andrew for taking the time to let us tour their gorgeous modern vintage home!
