In Episode 3 of Kirby Allison's "From Suit to Shoot" YouTube series, we get to see the marvel that is the construction of a bespoke suit from a Savile Row tailor. Today we see the team at Henry Poole begin the process of creating the basted fitting suit, which will be tried on for the very first fitting.

The various stages of a bespoke suit construction truly are a combination of art and craft. From the drafting of the pattern, to the chalking and cutting of the fabric, and finally to the basted sewing of all the elements. These stages are a vital part of the process, and there are no superfluous details. Every element is drawing on hundreds of years of tailoring tradition.
