Slim/Thin Face Photography Hacks
Advertisement
How to make the face look slim or thin in photography using one point lighting. This technique is also used in filmmaking for cinematic lighting.
Tip 1: Use short lighting vs broad lighting
Tip 2: Pose the face in a way where the chin is forward and slightly tilt down
Tip 3: Wear darker outfit
Tip 4: Use the proper lens. Wider lenses will make the subject look slimmer, but they are necessarily flattering. The best lens to use are the portrait lenses, 85mm, 105mm, and 135mm.
