Chicken Gyros/Shawarma

Ingredients for Chicken Marination:
Chicken Breasts 2 kg
Yogurt 1 cup
Oil ¼ cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Salt 2½ tsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Paprika powder 1 tsp
Onion powder 1½ tsp
Chaat Masala 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 3 tbsp
Powdered Sugar 1 tbsp

Ingredients for Chicken Shawarma/Gyros:
Foil paper
Potatoes (halves) 1
Wooden Skewers
Onion (thick slice)
Tomato (one half)
Green chili 1
Oil (for brushing)

Ingredients for Wrap:
Tortilla wrap
Mayonnaise
Lettuce (shredded)
Shredded Chicken
Hot sauce
Onion (sliced)
Tomatoes (sliced)
Pickled Cucumber (sliced)

Ingredients for Burger:
Mayonnaise
Lettuce leaves
Tomatoes sliced
Shredded Chicken
Hot Sauce


Directions for Chicken Marination:
1. Cut chicken breast into thin fillets.
2. In a bowl add yogurt, oil, ginger garlic paste, salt, black pepper, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika powder, onion powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, powdered sugar and whisk well until well combined.
3. Transfer all the chicken fillets into the marinade and mix well until completely coated. Marinate for 4 hours at least.

Directions for Chicken Gyros/Shawarma Preparation:
4. Take a foil paper and place whole potato on it. Wrap the potato in foil paper. Place it on baking tray.
5. Tread 2 wooden skewers on each end of potato. Now tread marinated chicken breasts on the skewers. Lastly tread onion, tomato and green chili on top.
6. Now bake it at 180°C for 30-45 minutes or until chicken is fully done.
7. Take it out of the oven and shred the chicken pieces with knife.
Directions for Wrap Preparation:
8. On a tortilla wrap drizzle mayo, place lettuce leaves, onion, tomatoes, pickled cucumber, shredded chicken and drizzle hot sauce. Wrap in roll shape. Your Chicken Wrap is ready.
Directions for Chicken Burger Preparation:
9. Take burger buns, drizzle mayo on them. On the bottom bun, place lettuce leaves, tomatoes, shredded chicken and lastly drizzle hot sauce. Cover it with top bun and serve. Your chicken burger is ready.
Preparation time: 15 mins
Cooking time: 50 mins
Servings: 5-6
