I asked Koreans what they thought was the first (and most important) thing to learn when studying Korean. The specific question I asked them was, “한국어를 공부하는 사람이 어떤 걸 제일 먼저 공부하는 게 좋을까요?” As a follow-up question, I also asked what the most effective way of studying that would be (“그걸 어떻게 공부하는 게 가장 도움이 될까요?”).
