Baixo Gávea is a traditional nightlife spot in Rio de Janeiro. Tonight the crowd of Flamengo, soccer club, filled the spot to watch the title of Brazilian soccer champion won by the club Flamengo de Futebol e Regatas. A climate of tension dominated the venue until the end of the match, when the club was crowned champion and the crowd was finally able to celebrate.

Baixo Gávea, also called by Cariocas "BG" (initials of Baixo Gávea), is located around Praça Santos Dumont and enters Rua dos Oitis, in the Gávea neighborhood. It has great gastronomic and ethylic options making the bohemian carioca fill the street.
BG is an excellent tourist option for visitors to the city, with an atmosphere of relaxation and hype where you can see a lot of beautiful people.

Traditionally Thursday nights are usually the busiest days, but the place also brings movement on weekends and on days and hours of soccer matches in Rio clubs (Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Vasco), especially Flamengo, which has a sports headquarters in the neighborhood.
"Baixo" (from Baixo Gávea), in the Carioca dictionary, is the region of a neighborhood where there is a great concentration of bars, where people flock to drink beer, whether at the bar counter, at the restaurant table or in the middle of the street, to see and be seen.
