SSRIs are the most commonly prescribed type of antidepressants and include: Fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem, Symbyax), Citalopram (Celexa), Sertraline (Zoloft), Paroxetine (Paxil, Pexeva), Escitalopram (Lexapro). SSRIs can also be used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
