An Unexpected Eclectic Find Housed In A 3-Storey Joo Chiat Shophouse
This week we look to the East for one of the coolest co-working/social clubs in Singapore. Reuben (https://www.instagram.com/reubensrambles/) and @AIKEN CHIA visit Crane Joo Chiat, the second outlet behind Crane at Kim Yam and Crane at Arab Street. Dubbed Crane Two, the space is meant as a hybrid of a social club and a working space. It’s for those who want to work away from home but in a space that feels like home, or if you want to grab a coffee, or engage in the different events that are held.
It’s set in a 3-storey corner Peranakan heritage shophouse, with different spaces such as an outdoor open-air space called Koel, a starkly painted red-walled space called Garuda (where there is a full kitchen for private dining) - just to name a few. There is also Earth Shop and Cafe for food, and the Crane Living retail space. Along with that are Kōhī Roastery & Coffee Bar and Cafe Natsu.
Special thanks to Crane for opening up the space for us to tour. For more, you can visit https://www.wearecrane.com/
