This week, we tour this 3-room BTO flat at St George that has been transformed into one that has managed to combine vintage pieces with modern touches. And we're not referring to just design, but smart home features. Homeowners Ridzwan and Nadiah were big fans of things with sentimental value and knew from the beginning that they wanted their home to incorporate heirloom pieces such as a vintage Singer sewing machine and an antique dresser (Nadiah's grandmother's hand-me-down).

At 731 square feet, it isn't a particularly big space but it feels more spacious because they had knocked down the walls to their second bedroom to transform the space into a bigger dining area (that doubles up as a study too). We love the white cement breeze blocks that add that vintage touch yet help to facilitate air flow into the room. The best part for us? That bigger than usual kitchen, as they have combined it with the service yard to create a more spacious kitchen for both of them to cook in.

This wonderful home is designed by Teck Hou from The Local Inn.terior (@thelocalinnterior), and special credit to @marcus.ip for the cover photo.

Special thanks to Nadiah and Ridzwan for opening up their wonderful home to us! Follow @ourgreennook on IG for more interior design tips!
