Every year I get 10-15 face cords of firewood delivered to my off-grid property. I don’t cut the trees on my property except for clearing. I still need to cut a few poplars to make room for a future greenhouse. This will be a project for this upcoming fall.
My friend George showed me how to operate the log loader and his log splitter. I remember as a little girl operating my late dad’s log splitter but his was attached to his tractor. My father was a lumberjack and a farmer. I loved doing the firewood work and I still enjoy it to this day.
My 391 Stihl chainsaw needed to be sharpened, I should have sharpened it prior to cutting some of those logs in this video but it worked out anyway. I did sharpen it afterwards.
I started to fill up my wood shed that I built 2 years ago and will finish this task within the next couple weeks.
Now I won’t have to worry about keeping warm in my cabin this winter, I will be all set.
I love living in my off-grid cabin and couldn’t imagine living any other way.
Thank you for guys and I hope you have enjoyed my video. XX ❤️
