The principal indications for antipsychotic drugs are the management of schizophrenia both in the acute phase and as maintenance therapy, mania, delusional depression and behavioural disturbance in dementia. Medications available in this class include: Risperidone (Risperdal), Quetiapine (Seroquel), Olanzapine (Zyprexa), Ziprasidone (Zeldox), Paliperidone (Invega), Aripiprazole (Abilify) and Clozapine (Clozaril).
