Snooker world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan ponders over the future of the sport | Eurosport Snook
World champion Ronnie O'Sullivan reckons snooker is facing lagging behind in attracting the next generation to pick up the sport as it faces stiff competition from other fields such as football, tennis and golf.
Speaking to SNTV the 46-year-old, who won the world championships for a record-equalling seventh time last month, also wondered whether adding snooker in the Olympics would actually help the sport. Widely regarded as the most naturally talented player in snooker history, O'Sullivan is in Singapore to officially launch the Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker Academy, which will seek to nurture talent in Asia.
