The engine bay of this 30 year old Mercedes SL500 was in much need of some love! A lot of dirt has collected over the years and the engine has never been cleaned before. This is the first engine bay detail in 30 years! To clean the surfaces we use a combination of a multi purpose cleaner and steam. Once cleaned, we protect the plastic and rubber parts with our favorite dressing, CAPRO Perl. Please keep in mind that I was not going for absolute perfection since time was limited. The car was only with us for just over one day. In that time I had to give the car a polish, do a complete interior detail and clean the engine. The goal here was to make it presentable for it's new owner!
