What’s happening in this movie clip?
Gordon (Tom McCarthy), Jackson Curtis (John Cusack), Kate Curtis (Amanda Peet) and their kids are in a plane. They need to take off right away because the ground is falling down. Gordon is the pilote but it is his first time flying. They manage to take off. Jackson tells them that the earthquake is not only happening in California but in the whole world. A crazy man told him what’s gonna happen. Of course at first he did not believe him but the man has been right about everything so far.

What’s the movie about?
Jackson Curtis (John Cusack), a writer, must do everything to keep his family secure when a series of apocalyptic calamities threatens to decimate humankind.

Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. 2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.
