A desk fit for a furniture maker - Part 2 (Top)
The never ending project continues!! I actually had made the top first, about a year and a half ago as I'm posting this. This is made from a set of bookmatched walnut boards, courtesy of Goby Walnut here in Portland Oregon. I added breadboard ends to help extend the length as well as keep it flat. Because of the drawn out process, the top cupped before I could add the breadboards, so I flattened the top with my low angle jack plane, added the ends, and then flattened the other side using my router sled jig.
