At Defying Labels, we believe that foster youth are more than the circumstances they face-they are full of potential, resilience, and strength. These negative stereotypes slapped onto the foster youth stereotype far too often characterize them as "at-risk" or "troubled." We believe these stereotypes do not represent true abilities or futures for these young people. Our mission is to challenge all those stigmas through support, mentorship, and opportunities that help them rise above their past.
