Serves 4-5
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:
-Cooking oil 2 tbs or as required
-Darchini (Cinnamon stick) 1
-Tez patta (Bay leaf) 1
-Sabut kali mirch (Black peppercorns) 3-4
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 & ½ tsp
-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 2 medium
-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 & ½ tsp
-Chana daal (Split bengal gram) 1 & ½ Cup (soaked for 3-4 hours)
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste
-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) 1 tsp
-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
-Dashi chicken powder ½ tbs
-Water 3 & ½ Cups
Prepare Daal Fry Tarka:
-Ghee ¼ Cup
-Sukhi lal mirch (Dried red chillies) 4-5
-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 1 tbs
-Hari mirch (Green chillies) sliced 2-3
-Kashmiri lal mirch (Kashmiri red chilli) powder ½ tsp
-Tamatar (Tomatoes) chopped 2 large
-Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed ¼ tsp
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1-2 tbs
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped

Directions:
-In a pot,add cooking oil,cinnamon stick,bay leaf,black peppercorns,cumin seeds & mix well.
-Add onion & fry until light golden.
-Add ginger garlic paste & mix well.
-Add soaked split lentil gram,mix well & cook on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
-Add salt,red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,chicken powder,mix well & cook for 1-2 minutes.
-Add water,mix well & bring it to boil.
-Remove scum,cover & cook on low flame until tender (15-18 minutes).
-Discard bay leaf & set aside lentil for later use.
Prepare Daal Fry Tarka:
-In a wok,add ghee & let it melt.
-Add dried red chillies,garlic,green chillies & mix well.
-Add Kashmiri red chilli powder & mix well.
-Add tomatoes,mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft (2-3 minutes).
-Now add cooked lentil,mix well & fry on high flame until oil separates (3-4 minutes).
-Add black pepper crushed & fresh coriander.
-Garnish with fresh coriander & serve!

Directions:
-Pot mein cooking oil,darchini,tez patta,sabut kali mirch aur zeera dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Pyaz dal dein aur light golden ho janay tak fry ker lein.
-Adrak lehsan paste dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Soaked chana daal dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein aur darmiyani ancch per 3-4 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Namak,lal mirch powder,dhania powder,haldi powder aur chicken powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 1-2 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay dein.
-Scum ko nikal lein aur dhak ker halki ancch per daal gul janay tak paka lein (15-18 minutes).
-Tez patta ko discard ker dein & daal ko bad mein use kernay kliya side per rakh dein.
Prepare Daal Fry Tarka:
-Karahi mein ghee dal ker melt ker lein.
-Sukhi lal mirch,lehsan aur hari mirchein dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Kashmiri lal mirch powder dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Tamatar dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur tamatar naram ho janay tak paka lein (2-3 minutes).
-Ab cooked chana daal dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur tez ancch per oil alag ho janay tak fry ker lein (3-4 minutes).
-Kali mirch crushed aur hara dhania dal dein.
-Hara dhania sa garnish ker ka serve karein!
