The inspiration behind this video:

Deadpool 3 is happening in the MCU, and Marvel's Secret Wars could be the key to explaining where the talkative mercenary has been all this time. Following Disney's purchase of Fox, Deadpool and the mutants are coming to Marvel Studios to have a major role in the next phases of the MCU. After a period of speculation about what the future of the Deadpool franchise would be now under the Disney umbrella, a Deadpool film in the MCU has been confirmed with Ryan Reynolds set to return and The Adam Project’s Shawn Levy as the director – but with still no indication as to how and when the character will be introduced.

Like the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, Deadpool's arrival in the MCU is challenging in terms of storytelling. The MCU will soon have to decide as to when and how such important parts of the Marvel universe will be integrated into the already established franchise. Between showing those characters' origins again or saying that they have always been there, options abound to explain the arrival of big names like Doctor Doom and Deadpool – each with its pros and cons.
