0:24 Quick etch in ferric chloride to see the pattern
0:40 Knife sketch used as stencil
0:54 Cut excess material with metal cutting bandsaw
1:08 Grind profile with 2x72 belt grinder
1:30 Inside radius refined with die grinder and stone grinding bit
1:50 Cente punch pin and weight reduction holes
2:00 Drill holels, 2mm for the pins
2:20 Blate tapered from ricasso to tip with 2x150 belt grinder
2:37 Notch filed in with round file
2:50 Hardening: heat to 795°c, hold for 8min and quench in 70°c oil
3:17 Tempering: heat to 200°c and hold for 2hrs (final hardness between 50 and 55 Rockwell)
3:30 Hollow grind bevels with 2x150 belt grinder contact wheel
4:00 Three 15min cycles in ferric chloride with light scrub in between
4:12 Istant coffee etch to darken more the high carbon steel
4:40 Handle stack glued with 5min epoxy
5:18 Black felt liner glued with 5min epoxy
5:52 Temporarly hold tang to scales with ca glue and masking tape
6:03 Drill pin holes in one scale
6:20 Match drill the other scale again with ca glue and masking tape trick
7:04 Finishing top of the handle as it can't be accessed later
7:30 Notch for loop ground with dremel
7:40 Final glueup with 90min epoxy
8:49 Handle squared up with flat platen
8:59 And sculpted with contact wheel
9:22 Hand sand up to 400grit
9:43 White mineral oil for finish

10:20 Strop on leather with fine polishing compound
