Starting the Ketogenic Diet for Epilepsy at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital
About one third of patients with epilepsy still experience seizures despite being on antiseizure medications. A ketogenic diet can often help prevent seizures for this patient population.
The Pediatric Epilepsy Program team at University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital put together this six-and-a-half-minute video explaining what the ketogenic diet involves and how it’s helped pediatric epilepsy patients at Mott. Two patient families also share their real-life success stories.
