Retromation's Hoodie Achievement | Atomicrops

Today is a special day. After nine deaths attempting this challenge, I will finally be getting the Retromation's Hoodie achievement. This is by far, the most difficult achievement in the game, and the one that took me the most attempts (ten total). This was also the final achievement I had to get, saving the best for last.
A lot of the tips I recommend for this aren't much different than just standard advice. For starters, you're going to die a lot. Beating year ten as Robusta, who greatly increases the game speed, is not easy. You will need lots of practice, perhaps on earlier years. You have to get used to the speed of everything, otherwise you'll likely die.
When you do take damage fertilize any grown heart beets. This is because fertilizing them increases the chance to get mini heart beets, which, after getting a few, will increase you're max HP. Obviously this is extremely important, since it's easy to slip up and make mistakes. Mega heart beets can be done, but it's probably not the best idea since it's dangerous to hang around at low HP.
Guns are also important. Avoid the worse ones, such as Butcher's Knife, Flying Squirrels, and Shallotgun. Spud Rifle is a bit better than those, but not by much. Normally, Cattling Gun would be the best choice. However, for this it's less than ideal, since the slowdown is just an invitation for getting hit. The Parsniper Rifle is probably the best, since it shoots fast and does excellent damage. It's not good against hordes though, such as flies or bats. In that case, take the Siracha Soaker, Blunderbloom, or the Jackrabbit. All of these deal AOE damage, which can save you from getting hit in these cases. In terms of which one is the best of those three, it depends. Jackrabbit has a decent area, but doesn't deal the greatest damage per shot. Blunderbloom has good range and damage, but it fires slowly. It does have a explosion area though. And Siracha Soaker runs the risk of torching plants, unless you get the watering upgrade on it. Because of all this, you'll need to be making decent money everyday in order to cover the cost of your gun.
But other than that, you must get pretty lucky. You need all the best items you can find. Lard is ideal, since it decreases enemy bullet speed. But in terms of which ones are the best to have, it depends on what you get from the time capsule at the start. Maybe you'll be lucky like me and get Laser Tracker. Since Robusta does start with a drone this is beneficial. Tree guardians tend to drop the better items, so prioritize killing the first four. I don't advise going into outer areas since it's dangerous.
To any of you that attempt this -- good luck and don't give up. With enough time and patience you can do it.
