We'd like to welcome you to Gerald, our new tiny home. Just kidding it's not called Gerald, or maybe it should be now..?

Regular viewers you're probably thinking where the heck did this come from? We didn't let on any clues about moving so it may be a bit of a shock. If you're new then welcome to our new home.

We watch a lot of YouTube videos, particularly van life and camping vlogs and we have in recent years really started to embrace the simple things in life. We bought a van just under 2 years ago and have always pondered about living in a van or something unusual.

We also didn't want the burden of a huge mortgage over our heads stealing our freedom so we have never considered buying a conventional house. We looked at canal boats and caravans and converted barns and watched so many other YouTubers to get some inspiration before discovering the tiny house scene!

There isn't much of a tiny house scene in the uk because planning restrictions are incredibly tight and it's pretty much impossible to live in something that isn't a conventional house which is a real shame. There are some ways around it but we will cover those another time.

So this is it! Our new home on wheels. It's 20x8ft with 2 floors (headroom upstairs is a bit tight). We have all that any normal house would except we don't have to walk far to get it. Oven, fridge, washing machine, full bathroom, living room underfloor heating, 2 bedrooms. It's really all we could ever need and more!

We won't have all our furniture for a few weeks yet so we will do a proper tour video once we are all in but for now we have just taken delivery and measuring up for curtains.
