"Budget for upcoming Blackpink music video is YG Entertainment's biggest yet"
An upcoming Blackpink music video will be the most expensive one yet, YG Entertainment said Tuesday.

"The agency's largest ever production budget was applied to the music video," said the agency, without disclosing the exact amount. "The whole process of the girl group's comeback is moving smoothly under a detailed plan."

Blackpink finished recording for the album earlier this month and is now filming the music video.
Blackpink's comeback is slated for August.

The upcoming album comes one year and 10 months after its last album titled "The Album" and the singles "Lovesick Girls" and "How You Like That."

Selling over 1.4 million copies, "The Album" was the first million-selling album by a K-pop girl group. It also debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and the British Official Chart for albums.

The group is also set to embark on a world tour by the end of this year. "It will be the largest tour that a K-pop girl group has ventured on," according to a statement by the agency on July 6.

Blackpink debuted in 2016 with its first single “Square One” and has released hit tracks including “Playing with Fire” (2016), “Forever Young” (2018) and “Lovesick Girls” (2020).
